My transcript has no speaker names?
Speaker names are only applied if the speaker introduced themselves or was named by another participant. If the name still wasn't applied, you can select the default name in the transcript to set the name.
Can I regenerate a transcript or summary?
Click the refresh icon at the bottom of the transcript or summary.
What counts toward my transcript hours?
Only audio processed for transcription counts toward your monthly or yearly allocation.
How many hours of transcripts can I generate?
The monthly plan allows for 10 hours of transcripts per month. The yearly plan allows for 120 per year.
Is there a limit to how many times I can regenerate a summary?
As long as you have an active subscription, you can keep regenerating the summary until you are happy with the result.
What happens if I run out of hours before my subscription renews?
Currently there is no way to top up a subscription.
Do unused hours roll over?
Currently, unused hours do not roll over.
Where are my recordings stored?
Recordings are stored securely on your device. Transcripts and speaker metadata are saved locally. Summaries are generated via our private cloud API.
Is my audio used to train AI models?
No. Your recordings and transcripts are processed only to generate your transcript and summary. They are not used to train public AI models.
Can I delete my recordings and transcripts?
Yes. You can delete recordings at any time from within the app. Deleted content is permanently removed.
Do you store audio on your servers?
Audio is uploaded to our servers in order for the transcript to be generated; after that has finished the audio is deleted from our servers.
Will recordings stop if I switch apps?
No. Voicicle uses a foreground service to keep recordings active even when your screen is off. If another app accesses your microphone, the recording may be paused so be sure to resume it after finishing with the other app.
What happens if my phone dies mid-meeting?
Voicicle saves audio in resilient session blocks, so you won't lose the entire recording.
Does Voicicle record phone calls automatically?
No. Voicicle records in-person or speakerphone conversations initiated manually within the app.
Can I export transcripts & summaries?
Yes. Transcripts and summaries can be exported as text for sharing or archiving.
Are my recordings and transcripts saved to the cloud?
Currently everything is saved on device, so if you uninstall and reinstall the app your data will not be restored.
